As a very eager, but continuously learning, social worker, I get caught up in thinking that I’m not quite sure what I’m doing most of the time. Here are some affirmations that I tried to create for myself and others:

- There are many right ways to do something
- I learn from my mistakes.
- One small act of good matters.
- I can change things for the better.
- I have value in my field.
- One mistake does not define me.
- It is okay to ask questions.
- Worrying means I care, so some worry is okay.
- It is okay to speak up with an idea.
- It is okay to ask for what I want.
- Caring about my clients is 99% of the battle.
- Who I am is all I can be.
- There are resources and people who can help me.
- I accept myself for who I am and where I am.
- My supervisors and mentors once stood in my shoes.
- I am good at ______.
- ________ praised me for _________.
- Taking care of myself helps me help others.
- I can set any goal for myself.
- I am important to others.
- I cannot solve every problem that I see. I contribute to solutions by doing my best in my small part of the world.
